Hi, We are looking to employ a UK passport holder in Turkey. What kind of expat benefit package should we expect to provide ?

Hi chapmanfreeborn, the package you should be offering for an expat employee is difficult to comment on without knowing the actual industry or sector in which you are operating in, as well as in which area of the country the position will be based. It's best to investigate your sector to ensure that the remuneration is market related and also in line with the cost of living in Turkey.

Also, you should keep in mind that employing a foreigner in Turkey is quite a process involving a lot of paperwork. Certain occupations are also banned to foreigners in Turkey, so you should ensure that you are operating within these boundaries.

For some general information on the procedure for securing employment permits for foreigners, have a look at our Work Permits in Turkey page.
