With my family I soon will be moving to Munich for 3yrs. We will be leasing one vehicle i.e. likely to be a medium size SUV for mainly holidays etc. How much would I expect to pay per month, what are the pro's and cons etc? Thanks, Dave

You can check online the rates at all standard car rental companies like sixt, europcar, budget, swing, buchbinder etc. Rates should be something higher than around the world.
But: There are better options than renting a car, as carsharing schemes are growing strongly and you can share a car hourly- or daily-wise and pick up/return the car any time if once registered. Check the sites stattauto-muenchen.de, autonetzer.de, flinkster.de among others.
