We will soon be moving from Sydney to Munich for 3 yrs. We are not sure what to do with our appliances eg fridge, dryer, washing machine etc and also our TV's which are relatively new - should we bring these with us? Would appreciate comments on what others have done and recommendations. Thanks, Dave

I think it would make more sense to sell the items you have in Australia and purchase replacements when you get to Munich.
You'll find that the cost of such items will be about the same, if not less in Europe. The expense of shipping the items from Sydney to Munich will be quite high and plus you'll have to wait quite a while for the items to arrive.
There is also the option of moving into a fully furnished place where the landlord will provide you with a fridge, washing machine, etc. Also, you should be able to find second hand goods online for just a fraction of the price.
Hope this helps.
